Title: Closing the Continuous Feedback Loop for Continuous Delivery

It is generally understood that fast feedback is the oxygen of continuous software development systems. When software velocity is high, continuous feedback can ensure that quality is maintained without sacrificing throughput. However, distinctions between different types of feedback, as well as descriptions of how this feedback loop is to be established, are lacking in literature.

Based on industry analysis, we have attempted to categorize and evaluate the urgency and utility of different types of feedback within CD - specifically distinguishing between process and product feedback. In practice, most companies develop proprietary feedback solutions, meaning that little discussion about best practices reaches the rest of the world. Specifics of how each category of feedback is best utilized to uphold CD are needed.
